Meteorsi su nastali pre 27 godina, kao reakcija protiv mekanog rockabilly-a, koji je u to vreme bio popularan i od tada su se razvili do te mere da su ih nazvali ?Kraljevima psychobilly-a?.
Roy Kelton Orbison rodjen je 23.04.1936. u Vernonu (Teksas). Kasnije poznat kao "The Big O", Orbison je zapoceo karijeru kao rockabilly i country pevac.
Prljavi, zvoneci akord uz bubnjeve koji zvuce kao stare kante, zastitni su znak hit-singla "Rumble" iz 1958. godine, koji je proslavio Link Wray-a, legendarnog rock gitaristu koji se krajem prosle godine preselio u vecna lovista.
Louis Prima - "The Lip" Nemoguce je napisati biografiju koja bi temeljno ukoricila karijeru, a osobito zivot Louisa (Luja) Prime. Bilo bi uvek premalo stranica za Primu kao pevaca, trubaca, kompozitora, vodju benda, humoristu, "sina Italije". Svaki segment njegovog zivota sam za sebe nije dovoljan da docara njegovu licnost, dok bi nam svi oni zajedno opet dali samo pribliznu sliku. Sam stil Luja Prime kasnije ce biti klasifikovan kao nesto izmedju Swinga i Jump-Bluesa. Istina je da se Prima u svom najuspesnijem periodu dosta udaljio od jazza, ali to nije bio ni rock`n`roll. Njegovo ime necete pronaci u jazz enciklopedijama, niti na "jazz" policama u music shop-u. Pa ipak, Benny Goodman (simbol swing ere)? je svoj presudni momenat u karijeri ostvario zahvaljujuci numeri "Sing, Sing, Sing (With A Swing)", koju je napisao Prima. Louis Leo Prima rodjen je 7-og decembra 1910. godine u ulici St.Peter, na ivici cuvenog kvarta Storyville u New Orleansu. Rodjen je gde i sam jazz.
Brian: Ranije mi je stalno bilo u glavi pitanje - Da li je ovo prikladno novom vremenu? - Sada mislim da jeste. Toliki ljudi su se bavili blues-om, od Rollingstonesa do Johnny Wintera...Eric Clapton i drugi... Svi oni su napravili dobre radove od toga. Ali, uvek sam se pitao - Zasto niko ne obradjuje rockabilly ?- jer, ja smatram da je to takodje vredan muzicki pravac, kao i country muzika, kao... bilo koja vrsta muzike.
The Bambi Molesters je grupa nastala pod utjecajem garage i surf klasika 60tih godina. Prve demo snimke grupe snimljene su 1994. godine, a prvi objavljeni album ?Play Out of Tune? je objavila nezavisna izdavačka kuća ?Listen Loudest? iz Zagreba, 1995. godine. U to vrijeme postali su jedno od značajnijih imena hrvatske underground scene, te osvojili naslov pobjednika alternativnog festivala ?Art & Music? 1996. godine u Puli.
Beogradska neo-swing grupa "16 Tons" nastala je 1997 godine. Osnivac i vokal benda Srdjan Popov otkrio je muziku 40-tih (swing, jive, jump-blues, gipsy-swing) i poceo da trazi ekipu istomisljenika sa kojima bi napravio bend u stilu "grupe macora iz crtanog filma koji sviraju ispod ulicne svetiljke". Repertoar se sastojao?od obrada najvecih imena tog vremena (Louis Prima, Louis Jordan, Cab Calloway...). 
Psychobilly trio Grandpa Candys, osnovan u Beogradu 1998.godine, brzinom svetlosti lansirao se u same vrhove alternativnog rock zvuka i zadobio brojne simpatije poklonika punk/ska/hardcore subkulture u prestonici ali i ?irom Srbije.
Nekoliko godina pre izlaska Beatlesa na muzicku scenu, jedan engleskibubnjar stekao je status svetske zvezde.
Vec u decembru 1958. godine, kada je pristupio Cliff Richardu i njegovoj grupi "Drifters", Tony Meehan je osvojio publiku, a imao je nepunih 16 godina.

M.Queen, izdao je svoj prvi "regularni" CD, za nemačku diskografsku kuću Rhythm Bomb
Records. Album sadr?i dvanaest autorskih pesama i četiri obrade, a sniman je u "retro
tehnici" LRS studia u Berlinu.
